The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) of India has taken notice of a reported suicide of a man who allegedly suffered physical torture in police custody at Dwarka North Police Station, Delhi. The victim, who was in custody for questioning related to a theft complaint, was found dead on July 11, 2025, with a suicide note recovered. The NHRC has requested a detailed report from the Delhi Police Commissioner within two weeks, highlighting serious concerns regarding human rights violations.
