NHRC Launches Capacity-Building Programme for Global South

The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) of India inaugurated a six-day ITEC Executive Capacity Building Programme in New Delhi for senior functionaries from 12 National Human Rights Institutions (NHRIs) of the Global South. NHRC Chairperson Justice V. Ramasubramanian emphasized the importance of strong human rights institutions in mitigating public discontent and fostering unity amidst cultural diversity. The programme aims to enhance institutional capacities and promote South-South cooperation in addressing common human rights challenges.
