The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), India has intervened in a case involving a 15-year-old boy from Kishanganj, Bihar, who suffered under bonded labour conditions after being separated from his father at Bahadurgarh Railway Station, Haryana. The boy ended up in Gautam Budh Nagar, Uttar Pradesh, where he was forced into labour for eight months under harsh conditions, resulting in the loss of part of his arm. NHRC has demanded reports from relevant authorities and inquired about the issuance of critical documents to ensure the boy's rehabilitation and compensation.
