NHRC's Internship Program Focuses on Human Rights Amid Global Conflicts

The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), India has commenced its Online Short-Term Internship Programme for March 2026, involving 80 selected university-level students from diverse backgrounds. This initiative aims to increase awareness of human rights amidst global conflicts. NHRC Chairperson Justice V. Ramasubramanian highlights the importance of understanding human rights in light of worldwide armed conflicts displacing millions and impacting the global economy. Secretary General Shri Bharat Lal emphasizes citizens' collective duty to uphold individual dignity and aims for a 'Developed India'. The program includes educational activities and aims to model interns as human rights ambassadors.
