NICDC and Ministry of Textiles Collaborate on PM MITRA Parks Development
The National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation (NICDC), in collaboration with the Ministry of Textiles, held a stakeholder consultation to advance the PM Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel (PM MITRA) Parks. These parks, planned under the public-private partnership (PPP) model, aim to establish robust, market-oriented frameworks and globally integrated textile manufacturing ecosystems. The meeting engaged prospective master developers from both domestic and international sectors, focusing on key issues like utilities planning, investment attraction, and infrastructure development for three Greenfield sites in Lucknow, Kalaburagi, and Navsari. The PM MITRA initiative aligns with the Prime Minister's 5F vision and is expected to attract significant investments and create employment opportunities by consolidating the entire textile value chain in a single location. Seven parks have been announced across India, poised to draw approximately ₹70,000 crore in investments and generate around 10 lakh jobs. The NICDC will provide comprehensive project management support to ensure timely execution and operationalization of these ambitious projects.
