NIEPID and Jai Vakeel Foundation Collaborate for Education of Children with Intellectual Disabilities

The National Institute for Empowerment of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities (NIEPID) and the Jai Vakeel Foundation (JVF) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to implement a structured and uniform education curriculum for children with intellectual disabilities across India. This initiative aims to provide a comprehensive education model, integrating resources like the NIEPID DISHA Assessment Checklist, Multisensory Curriculum, and Teacher Training, to enhance the educational framework and align with global sustainable development goals. The project will also include the printing of accessible learning materials and free training for educators.
