NIFTEM Collaborates to Strengthen Cold Chain Infrastructure
The National Institute of Food Technology, Entrepreneurship and Management (NIFTEM) at Kundli and Thanjavur has teamed up with various educational institutes in Karnataka to boost academic and research initiatives in food processing. Through new partnerships, including MoUs with several agricultural universities, the institute focuses on enhancing the cold chain and agro-processing infrastructure. Supported by the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sampada Yojana, these initiatives aim to extend shelf life, create jobs, and increase farmer incomes. A third-party study endorses the value and continuation of these schemes, and recent approvals have benefited numerous farmers in Bengaluru.
