NIPCCD Renamed to Savitribai Phule National Institute of Women and Child Development

The National Institute of Public Cooperation and Child Development (NIPCCD) has been renamed as the Savitribai Phule National Institute of Women and Child Development, honoring the legacy of social reformer Savitribai Phule. A new Regional Centre in Ranchi, Jharkhand, will be inaugurated on July 4, 2025, to enhance training and support for frontline functionaries involved in various women and child development missions across the Eastern region of India. This initiative aims to decentralize capacity building and ensure better access to resources for over seven lakh functionaries across Jharkhand, Bihar, Odisha, and West Bengal.
