NITI Aayog's Frontier Tech Hub has unveiled a comprehensive roadmap titled 'Reimagining Manufacturing: India’s Roadmap to Global Leadership in Advanced Manufacturing'. The initiative aims to enhance India's manufacturing competitiveness by integrating frontier technologies such as AI, advanced materials, and robotics across 13 priority sectors. The roadmap envisions manufacturing contributing over 25% to India's GDP and creating over 100 million jobs by 2035, positioning India among the top three global manufacturing hubs. It emphasizes the need for coordinated efforts in R&D, infrastructure, and workforce development to seize this opportunity.
