NMCG Achieves Milestones in Sewage Treatment for Ganga in 2025-26

The National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG) has made significant strides in enhancing sewage treatment infrastructure in the Ganga basin during the fiscal year 2025-26. With a cumulative treatment capacity increase of 538.03 MLD across key states like Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jharkhand, West Bengal, and Bihar, the mission continues its efforts to mitigate pollution and enhance river water quality. Among the notable achievements are the completion of 28 sewage treatment plants and the development of digital tracking tools like the Drain Dashboard and Ganga Pulse Public Portal for real-time monitoring and accountability.
