No Immediate Regulation for AI in Indian Film Industry, Says Dr. L. Murugan

The Indian government, recognizing the increased use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in film and media scriptwriting, acknowledges its role in generating dialogues, storylines, and screenplays. However, Dr. L. Murugan, Minister of State for Information & Broadcasting, stated in the Rajya Sabha that there is no proposal to regulate AI in this sector under the Cinematograph Act, 1952.
