NPC to Oversee Environmental Audits in India
The National Productivity Council (NPC) of India has signed an agreement with the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change to act as the Environment Audit Designated Agency under the Environment Audit Rules, 2025. NPC will manage the environmental audit framework, which includes certification and registration of auditors, thereby enhancing compliance with major environmental legislations and improving environmental outcomes in the country.
