Nuclear Power Capacity Expansion in India

The Department of Atomic Energy reported that India's nuclear power capacity currently stands at 8780 MW from 24 reactors, with 4 reactors undergoing refurbishment. Several projects are under construction and pre-project activities, which will increase the total capacity to 22380 MW upon completion. Key projects include RAPP-8 in Rajasthan, KKNPP-3&4 and KKNPP-5&6 in Tamil Nadu, and GHAVP-1&2 in Haryana, among others.
