Objectives of PM-DAKSH Yojana

The PM-DAKSH Scheme, launched in 2020-21, aims to enhance the employability of marginalized groups such as Scheduled Castes (SCs), Other Backward Castes (OBCs), De-notified Tribes (DNTs), Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), and Safai Karamcharis, including Waste Pickers. The scheme provides training to eligible candidates, particularly those with an annual family income below Rs. 3 lakh for OBCs and EWS, while SCs and DNTs have no income limit. The scheme is funded with Rs. 450 crore from 2021-22 to 2025-26, with a budget of Rs. 130 crore for 2025-26.
