One-time Switch Facility from UPS to NPS for Central Government Employees

The Ministry of Finance has introduced a one-time, one-way switch facility allowing Central Government employees to switch from the Unified Pension Scheme (UPS) to the National Pension System (NPS) under specific conditions. Eligible employees can only switch once and must do so before certain deadlines. The last date to opt for UPS is September 30, 2025, after which employees will remain under UPS by default if they do not switch.
