OPCW Asia Meeting in New Delhi

The Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) held its 23rd Regional Meeting of National Authorities in New Delhi from July 1-3, 2025. The meeting aimed to enhance cooperation among Asian countries in implementing the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC). Delegates from 24 States Parties discussed challenges, best practices, and legislative frameworks related to chemical safety and security. India, as an original signatory to the CWC, played a key role in the event, which also highlighted the achievements of the National Authority Chemical Weapons Convention (NACWC) and the Indian Chemical Council (ICC).
