Over 26 Lakh Households Benefit from PM Surya Ghar Yojana by December 2025

The PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana is a government initiative launched in February 2024 to provide residential consumers with the opportunity to install rooftop solar systems and benefit from clean energy. By December 2025, over 26 lakh households were benefitted, with a total Central Financial Assistance of ₹14,771 crore disbursed. This move not only aims to reduce carbon emissions significantly over 25 years but also supports India's renewable energy mission.
