Over 30.95 Crore Unorganised Workers Registered on e-Shram Portal

The Ministry of Labour and Employment has reported that over 30.95 crore unorganised workers have registered on the eShram portal as of July 22, 2025. Launched on August 26, 2021, the portal aims to create a National Database of Unorganised Workers and provide them with a Universal Account Number (UAN). The eShram portal has been developed as a One-Stop-Solution for unorganised workers to access various social security schemes, integrating fourteen different welfare schemes to extend benefits such as insurance and skill development programs.
