Panchayat Advancement Index (PAI) 2.0 Shows Significant Grassroots Gains

The Ministry of Panchayati Raj released the Panchayat Advancement Index (PAI) 2.0, revealing that 3,635 Gram Panchayats are front-runners in grassroots governance and rural development. The participation rate for this edition was 97.3%, significantly higher than in the previous version. Major themes of success include poverty reduction and health improvement, key areas emphasized in the report card which assesses performance based on 150 indicators related to the Localization of Sustainable Development Goals (LSDGs).
