Panchayat Empowerment Initiatives in Odisha

The Ministry of Panchayati Raj has been actively working to strengthen local self-governments in Odisha through the implementation of various schemes and measures. The Revamped Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan (RGSA) is central to these efforts, aiming to build the capacities of Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) through training and development. In addition, e-Panchayat initiatives have been introduced to enhance transparency and efficiency at the grassroots level, alongside legal and institutional reforms. Financial allocations and the introduction of Own Source Revenue training modules also support Panchayats' journey towards self-reliance.
