PFRDA Establishes SAARG Committee to Enhance NPS Investment Strategies

The Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) has established the Strategic Asset Allocation and Risk Governance (SAARG) committee tasked with overhauling the investment framework of the National Pension System (NPS). Chaired by Shri Narayan Ramachandran, the committee comprises experts in capital markets, asset management, and securities law who are to review existing strategies, introduce new asset classes, and integrate sustainability into investment decisions to better facilitate retirement wealth creation. The SAARG's findings will be submitted within nine months.
