PLFS Quarterly and Monthly Bulletins: Key Labour Market Indicators for April-June and July 2025

The Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation released the Periodic Labour Force Survey (PLFS) Quarterly Bulletin for April-June 2025 and Monthly Bulletin for July 2025, highlighting significant labour market indicators. The revamped PLFS methodology now includes estimates for both rural and urban areas, with key findings showing a Labour Force Participation Rate (LFPR) of 55.0% for individuals aged 15 and above, and an Unemployment Rate (UR) of 5.4% during April-June 2025. The July 2025 bulletin indicates a slight increase in LFPR to 54.9% and a decrease in UR to 5.2%.
