The Periodic Labour Force Survey (PLFS) for July-September 2025 indicates a slight increase in the overall Labour Force Participation Rate (LFPR) to 55.1%, with female LFPR rising to 33.7%. The Worker Population Ratio (WPR) also saw a marginal increase to 52.2%, while the Unemployment Rate (UR) declined to 5.2%. Notably, rural employment in agriculture rose significantly, and urban areas experienced modest growth in regular wage/salaried employment.
