PLI Scheme Boosts Investment in Indian Food Processing Sector

The Production Linked Incentive Scheme for the Food Processing Industry (PLISFPI) has driven a cumulative investment of ₹9,207 crore by approved applicants. From April 2021 to September 2025, the PLISFPI beneficiaries reported export sales amounting to ₹89053.44 crore. With 170 applications approved under the scheme, there are currently no pending approvals. This information was shared by Minister of State for Food Processing Industries, Shri Ravneet Singh, in a written reply in the Lok Sabha.
