PM-DDKY Aims to Transform Agrarian India

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Pradhan Mantri Dhan Dhanya Krishi Yojana (PM-DDKY) and Mission for Aatmanirbharta in Pulses, aimed at promoting sustainable growth in agriculture and allied sectors. Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh highlighted the initiatives' potential to transform agrarian districts through innovation and inclusive development. Major projects worth ₹1,166 crores in animal husbandry and ₹693 crores in fisheries were inaugurated, emphasizing women's empowerment and rural prosperity. India ranks first in milk production and second in fish production globally, with significant increases in productivity and infrastructure development.
