PM E-DRIVE Scheme Disburses Over Rs. 1,634 Crore in Subsidies

The Ministry of Heavy Industries has reported the distribution of Rs. 1,634.62 crore under the PM E-DRIVE Scheme by November 23, 2025. Aiming to boost electric mobility, the scheme includes a Rs. 500 crore allocation for e-ambulances, extending support till March 2028, while grants for public charging infrastructure remain unutilized. Key allocations include 1,500 e-buses for Mumbai and 2,800 for Delhi. Efforts continue to enhance the electric vehicle charging infrastructure with guidelines shared with state governments and UTs.
