PM Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises Scheme

The Ministry of Food Processing Industries is implementing the PM Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) Scheme under the Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyaan to support micro food processing enterprises in India. The scheme, operational from 2020-21 to 2025-26 with a budget of Rs. 10,000 Crore, aims to enhance competitiveness and formalization in the sector. As of June 30, 2025, 1,44,517 loans have been sanctioned nationwide, with 15,828 loans in Tamil Nadu. The scheme also includes capacity building and training for beneficiaries.
