PM Modi Launches PM-SETU and Vocational Skill Labs to Empower Youth

At the Kaushal Deekshant Samaroh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi honored 46 ITI toppers and launched the PM-SETU scheme, a ₹60,000 crore initiative to modernize 1,000 ITIs across India. The scheme aims to enhance skill development through a hub-and-spoke model and introduce new courses in collaboration with industry. Additionally, 1,200 Vocational Skill Labs were inaugurated in schools to provide hands-on training in high-demand sectors, promoting early career exploration for students. These initiatives are part of the government's commitment to transforming India into a skill-based economy by 2047.
