PM Modi to Address India Maritime Week in Mumbai

Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in the India Maritime Week in Mumbai from October 27-31, 2025, where he will deliver a keynote address at the Global Maritime CEO Forum. The event aims to showcase India's maritime strength with participation from over 100 countries and 100,000 stakeholders. Additionally, two luxury cruise ships are set to be launched on the Brahmaputra River by 2027, backed by a ₹250 crore investment. The Minister emphasized India's maritime reforms and the goal to handle 10,000 MMT of EXIM cargo by 2047.
