PM-SETU Scheme to Upgrade ITIs: Boosting Skill Development and Employment

The Pradhan Mantri Skilling and Employability Transformation through Upgraded ITIs (PM-SETU) scheme aims to enhance 1,000 Government Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) using an industrial model. By upgrading courses and introducing new ones, the initiative seeks to expand training capabilities through industry-led Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) formed under state government guidance. Punjab is set to pioneer the pilot phase with its ITI cluster improvement, focusing particularly on ITI Hoshiarpur as the hub.
