PM SVANidhi Marks Six Years of Supporting Street Vendors Nationwide

The PM Street Vendor's AtmaNirbhar Nidhi (PM SVANidhi), launched by the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs, celebrates six successful years of empowering street vendors with affordable credit and social security. Since its inception in June 2020, the scheme has facilitated more than 75.5 lakh street vendors across India, with loan sanctions surpassing ₹17,800 crore. The initiative is recognized for its role in formalizing vendors' access to credit, promoting digital inclusion, and enhancing livelihoods, with a current focus on North-Eastern states including Tripura. The scheme has notably increased average incomes by 20% annually and empowered 34.81 lakh women.
