PM Vishwakarma Scheme Empowers 30 Lakh Artisans Across India

The PM Vishwakarma Scheme, launched on September 17, 2023, by the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME), offers comprehensive support to artisans in 18 traditional trades. As of December 1, 2025, 30 lakh artisans have registered, and 23.09 lakh have completed training. Collaborative initiatives with digital payment platforms like India Post Payment Bank, BharatPe, and PhonePe have facilitated payments of ₹22 crore in incentives to over 6.8 lakh artisans. Further, more than 30,000 beneficiaries have gained access to institutional buyers through the Government e-Marketplace (GeM). In parallel, the CHAMPIONS’ portal has resolved 99.24% of 1,59,577 MSME grievances, offering crucial support and guidance.
