PMFME Scheme Boosts Micro Food Processing Units' Formalization and Credit Access

The Ministry of Food Processing Industries is spearheading the Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) Scheme to enhance the competitiveness and formalization of micro-enterprises in the food processing sector. This initiative, free from qualification criteria for participants, has already sanctioned credit-linked subsidies to 1,62,744 units with an investment of Rs. 13234.90 crore till October 2025.
