PMG Review of Mega Infrastructure Projects in Northeast India
On June 24, 2025, Secretary DPIIT, Shri Amardeep Singh Bhatia, chaired a meeting to review mega infrastructure projects in Jharkhand, Sikkim, Nagaland, Assam, and Arunachal Pradesh. The meeting addressed 18 issues across 11 projects, focusing on expediting resolutions through enhanced coordination. Key projects discussed included the Patratu Thermal Power Station Expansion, Dibang Hydropower Project, and Kohima Bypass Road, all aimed at socio-economic development and infrastructure resilience in the Northeast. The Secretary emphasized the importance of the Project Monitoring Group in facilitating timely project implementation and supporting private sector initiatives.
