Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana-Gramin Update

The Ministry of Rural Development has extended the Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G) for five more years, aiming to construct an additional 2 crore houses in rural areas. As of August 2025, 4.12 crore houses have been targeted, with 3.84 crore sanctioned and 2.81 crore completed. The scheme aims to achieve 'Housing For All' in rural India, although some states and union territories are not participating.
