Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana- Gramin Update

The Ministry of Rural Development is continuing the Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana- Gramin (PMAY-G) to provide housing assistance to rural households. The scheme aims to construct 2 crore additional houses from FY 2024-25 to 2028-29, building on the initial target of 2.95 crore houses from 2016 to 2024. Beneficiaries are identified through the SECC 2011 and Awaas+ 2018 databases. As of August 2025, saturation has been achieved in most states, with exceptions noted.
