The Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying has approved fisheries development proposals worth Rs. 21,274.16 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY), with a central share of Rs. 9,189.79 crore. A total of Rs. 5,587.57 crore has been released to various states and union territories for project implementation, significantly contributing to employment generation in fisheries and allied sectors.
