Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rojgar Yojana: A Boost for Employment

The Union Cabinet has approved the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rojgar Yojana (PMVBRY), a nationwide Employment Linked Incentive (ELI) scheme aimed at generating over 3.5 crore jobs across India in two years. Commencing on August 1, 2025, the scheme focuses on driving employment through incentives in various sectors, with special emphasis on manufacturing, MSMEs, and rural enterprises. Part of the scheme involves providing financial incentives to both employers and first-time employees, with a total budgetary outlay of ₹99,446 crore. The move builds on the success of the Aatmanirbhar Bharat Rojgar Yojana, which supported approximately 60.49 lakh beneficiaries since its launch in 2020.
