The Census will occur in two phases: Houselisting Operation (HLO) and Population Enumeration (PE), involving around 34 lakh enumerators and 1.3 lakh functionaries. This will be the 16th Census since its inception and will utilize digital methods, including self-enumeration, with strict data security measures in place.
