President Approves Viksit Bharat Act for Rural Employment
The President of India has given approval to the Viksit Bharat—Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) Act, 2025, enhancing the statutory wage employment guarantee to 125 days per year for rural households. The Act replaces the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act, improving rural livelihood security and aligning with India's vision for 2047.
