President Droupadi Murmu Addresses Indian Revenue Service Officer Trainees

Officer trainees of the 79th batch of Indian Revenue Service (IT), including representatives from the Royal Bhutan Service, visited Rashtrapati Bhavan to meet President Droupadi Murmu. During the meeting, the President emphasized the critical role of direct taxes in national development and the extended mandate of the Revenue Service beyond tax collection. She highlighted the importance of fairness, transparency, and prudence in decision-making, urging IRS officers to balance enforcement with humility and technological sensitivity. The trainees are currently in Induction training at the National Academy of Direct Taxes, Nagpur.
