President Droupadi Murmu Meets Artisans and Weavers from North East India

President Droupadi Murmu recently met with a group of artisans and weavers from the North Eastern States of India at Rashtrapati Bhavan. These artisans contributed to the crafting of invitation kits for the 'At Home' Reception earlier this year. During the meeting, the President praised their work as a representation of India's living heritage and encouraged them to teach their skills to the younger generation to ensure these art forms are preserved. The visit included artisans from states like Nagaland, Assam, and Sikkim, showcasing materials like banana fiber baskets, stoles, and black pottery.
