The Ministry of Earth Sciences has allocated a total of Rs. 1385 Crores to the PRITHVI Scheme, with Rs. 1194.56 crores spent on climate and ocean-related research to date. Utilizing advanced models like the Bharat FS for climate predictions and a Digital Twin for ocean analysis, the scheme addresses climate resilience and coastal impacts from rising sea levels. Seismology advancements have improved earthquake detection and risk mitigation, with significant progress in seismic microzonation across India.
