Progress of Food Processing Projects Under CEFPPC Scheme

Since 2017, the Ministry of Food Processing Industries has implemented the Scheme for Creation/Expansion of Food Processing and Preservation Capacities (CEFPPC) under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sampada Yojana. The scheme aims to incentivize food processing unit setups across India. From 2019-2023, 76 projects were approved under SCSP, TSP, and NER categories, with 58 completed. Remaining projects are in progress, and funds usage was hindered by insufficient eligible projects.
