Progress of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Gramin for FY 2025-26
The Ministry of Rural Development reported significant progress under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana - Gramin (PMAY-G) with the sanctioning of 32.47 lakh houses and the completion of 26.57 lakh houses during the financial year 2025-26. The total target set for the program stands at 4.18 crore houses, with a current completion rate of approximately 3.12 crore. The initiative continues to involve beneficiary participation in house construction and integrates various utility provisions such as water and electricity.
