Progress of Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) in Rural Connectivity

Over the last five years, under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), India has completed 1,31,589 km of road length, including 18,814 roads and 5,110 bridges at a cost of Rs. 1,07,942 crore. PMGSY aims to enhance rural connectivity, with the recent launch of PMGSY IV focused on connecting 25,000 unconnected habitations across various states. Significant monitoring initiatives, including the implementation of OMMAS and QR codes, have been introduced for better project management and public accountability.
