As of August 1, 2025, the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) has sanctioned 8,38,611 km of road length, with 7,83,566 km completed. The initiative has provided all-weather connectivity to 1.62 lakh habitations and connected 6.96 lakh facilities in rural areas. Impact assessments highlight significant improvements in agricultural income, employment, market access, education, and health indicators, particularly benefiting women and poorer sections of society. A three-tier quality monitoring system ensures the durability and quality of the roads constructed under the scheme.
