The Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs, Shri Durgadas Uikey, reported in Rajya Sabha that the Pradhan Mantri Janjatiya Vikas Mission (PMJVM) has established 531 Van Dhan Vikas Kendras (VDVKs) across 18 States and Union Territories to support the livelihood of Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs). These VDVKs, which are clusters of tribal Self-Help Groups, provide assistance for value addition of tribal products and market linkages through TRIFED, benefiting approximately 45,480 PVTG members, including 319 beneficiaries in Uttar Pradesh's Bijnor District.
