The India Meteorological Department (IMD) collaborates with various institutions and countries to advance meteorological services using AI and machine learning. Key initiatives include establishing a Virtual Centre for AI applications, enhancing R&D in AI/ML, and utilizing AI-based tools for tropical cyclone predictions.
