Promoting Entrepreneurship Among SC/ST/OBC in Food Processing

The Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) is implementing schemes to promote entrepreneurship among SC/ST/OBC categories, including the Pradhan Mantri Kisan SAMPADA Yojana (PMKSY) and the PM Formalization of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) scheme. These initiatives include reduced financial requirements and training programs aimed at enhancing skills in the food processing sector. Specific allocations of 8.3% and 4.3% of funds are designated for SC and ST categories, respectively, with preferential provisions to support these entrepreneurs.
